Assistant Chief Jordan MurphyAssistant Chief Jordan Murphy serves as the Assistant Chief of Operations for the Paducah Police Department, bringing over 15 years of law enforcement experience to the role. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Administration of Justice from the University of Louisville.

Assistant Chief Murphy began his law enforcement career in 2009 with the Louisville Metro Police Department, where he served as both a patrol officer and a detective. In 2016, he returned to Western Kentucky and joined the Paducah Police Department. Since then, he has held a wide range of assignments, including patrol officer, detective, digital forensics examiner, drone pilot, and supervisor.

A strong advocate for professional development and community engagement, Assistant Chief Murphy is a graduate of the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training’s Academy of Police Supervision, the Cultural Leadership Academy, and the Paducah Leadership Academy. He has also earned the FBI-Law Enforcement Executive Development Association (FBI-LEEDA) Leadership Trilogy and eTrilogy Awards.

Throughout his career, Assistant Chief Murphy has remained committed to building strong relationships within the community and agency, mentoring the next generation of law enforcement professionals. His leadership reflects a focus on service, innovation, and continuous improvement in public safety.
