Mayor Bray's Statement Regarding Lower Town Arts & Music Festival

Date of Release:
February 14, 2025

The City of Paducah is disappointed with the announcement that the Lower Town Arts & Music Festival will not be held this year. This festival which celebrates Paducah’s music, arts, and culture is a cherished event for Paducah, local and regional artists, and the Lower Town neighborhood. We understand the immense value this event holds for our community and are committed to finding a new home for it in 2026. I am personally disappointed as I have supported the event, and my family and I look forward to attending each year.

Yeiser Art Center, which has been the primary organizer of the event for years, carefully considered this year’s festival before making the difficult decision. They are working to notify and return application fees to the vendors, artists, and performers.

The City has been a proud co-sponsor of this festival for more than 20 years by providing financial contributions and in-kind services. We will work with the community, local organizations, and interested parties to develop a plan to celebrate our community’s arts and culture in 2026. We look forward to supporting this cornerstone event next year and in future years.
